~~ For Love Lorn ~~

Just out of boredom and tiredness resulting from excessively monotonous work at office, I decided to listen to some nice songs..Though I generally tend to listening ghazals in such a mood but for some unknown reason, I decided to listen to a new album from Enrique Iglesias i.e. Insomniac.

I did like Enriques Escape as well but this one seems to have touched my heart even more.Filled with those beautiful lyrics, and great music, I got a different kinda kick from it.It seemed as if the lyrics held me and then, the rythm made me move out of this world to some other world full of solitude. In there I digressed to which ever direction I wanted to.No fixed boundaries, no boundations, no worries but only one thing to think about; the thing was love.I could empathize with the pangs of love the singer had been through. And this singer at that instance was not Enrique, he was just a love lorn.

I found this one to be an absolute fit for a love lorn, though I am not one in this list :)..I still liked it very much...

Hope you would enjoy it as well..

dil dosti ETC....

Just to celebrate the occasional weekday holiday, me and my friends went out to watch a movie on Gandhi jayanti, which rather gave me a new definition of freedom.

Well, the movie named Dil Dosti Etc., I'd say dealt with everything other than "dil" and "dosti".It was all etc everywhere.

The movie though based in the core of India , Delhi , potrayed the lack of quintessential Indian culture in a rather audacious manner. The movie's protagonist,Apporv, potrayed as today's youth, breaks all the tennets that anyone would have set anywhere in the world.

He says "Love is just a four letter word" and still , the movie ends with his dialogue "And I am still searching love". I hope the contrast is visible. He doesnt know the meaning of the word but still uses rather misuses it ...

Kintu, one of the games that the protagonist plays with, says "Things are either black or white" and that "I know how to differenciate between good and bad"; but through the movie she's never seen choosing the Right, or the White.

Is this what we are, so called today's youth? We always know where the White is but still we feel Black is in vogue..

The character of Prerna, the second in lead, hasn't been given any strong thought.Whatever, is available, doesn't even let you label her.To me, she is just a murky, somewhat invisible character.

Sanjay Mishra, the so called "Old fashioned bihari", though is not righteous but still harbours deep respect for relation and emotions. He does use all rotten ways to win the student election, which to some extent is prevelant in our universities, but still deep down he too , like Kintu , knows what's right and what's wrong. However, unlike her , he knows where to stop.

I don't know if any of the characters form the correct representation of youth but for sure I detest media for calling Apoorv modern and cosmpolitan. Why do they feel that modernness is to do with breaking rules and crossing limits? If we believe this is freedom then it seems we need to read the dicitonaries again.

Even though the movie ,I believe, handles many serious issues in rather ridiculous manner, I still liked it as it was my touchpoint to Delhi, my hometown.

Hope you would have liked it too..
